This is a Wayang Golek Kasars (Demon/Ogre) - indicated by its large RED Face, and direct Eye contact. (See History etc below)
Originally purchased in 1987 - as indicated by the Original Tag - Indigo Art of 1102 Pine St. Philadelphia, PA. which describes the Puppet as "Antique Wayang Golek Puppet - Java - Indonesia" and a high price.
It has up till now been packed in a Canvas Bag, with a collection of other Puppets (see seperate listings).
Rough hand carved - aged paint work - flaked in places (as One would expect from OLD "worked" pieces). The Arms and Hands are intact - the Face is in good condition.
Paint colours are Red; Gold; Black; White, & Blue.
